Sukhdev Sandhu
Sukhdev Sandhu is a journalist, author and historian. He writes on art, urbanism and the poetics of migration for a wide range of magazines including London Review of Books, Modern Painters, Times Literary Supplement, Gastronomica and New York. He is the chief film critic of the Daily Telegraph and was named Critic of the Year at the British Press Awards in 2005. He is also author of London Calling: How Black and Asian Writers Imagined A City (HarperCollins, 2003) and I'll Get My Coat (Bookworks, 2005).
He worked with designer Ian Budden and sound artist Scanner to create the Artangel-commissioned website Night Haunts [wwww.nighthaunts.org.uk] which is published in book form by Verso in September 2007, and which is being adapted into musical form for stage performance in Stockholm next year.
